Kay qualified with the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) in 2001 and has since studied with Darien Pritchard of the University of Wales Institute and at the Morley College in Westminster. Kay has since worked internationally and with other professional therapists.
The benefits of massage therapy include: Rejuvenation of skin and muscle tone, an improved sense of well being, freeing the shoulders from tension, easing the neck muscles, relief from stress, release of toxins built up in congested muscle tissue due to sports injury or over use. Massage helps to loosen muscle fibres and increase the circulation of blood and oxygen. Massage can aid in the elimination of cellulite and reduce fluid retained in the lower legs. Each therapy session gives a feeling of relaxation and stimulates the body's own internal healing abilities, enhanced by the comfort of warmth and reassurance. Massage therapy can also help to harmonize a stressed mind and body, also helping to restore both the physical and psychological self.
An individual approach is given and the massage therapy is adapted to each client's needs. Kay will then discuss the massage and how it will benefit the individual. Confidentiality is maintained at all times.
